Project-based approach to career-connected learning
An innovative choice high school serving grades 9–12 in Lacey, Washington

How It Works

Welcome to Envision Career Academy!

Envision combines traditional classroom designs with real-world, problem-based projects that include CTE classroom spaces such as a design lab, discussion den, quiet learning nooks, internet café, greenhouse, school gardens, and CTE-focused spaces for manufacturing, biomedical and agricultural sciences, business, and marketing.

The strength of ECA is its staff and the intentional cross-curricular, interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to planning, teaching, and learning. We create an environment where a positive relationship with every student is created. Each student is visible and known.

The responsibility for success is a two-way street. Every student who attends ECA has asked to be there -- they chose to attend. Because of that, every student is expected to attend and work toward their academic & career goals.

Five Key Experiences

One thing that differentiates Envision is that we offer students the opportunities to engage in Five Key Experiences during their four years at Envision that are embedded into our re-envisioned Wednesdays:

  • Career Exploration
  • Job Shadows
  • Career Mentorships
  • Internships
  • Service Learning / Community Service

We welcome more and more community involvement to support these Five Key Experiences and ensure career-connected, cross-content learning. Please contact Envision if you or someone you know would like to get involved, please contact us!
